What do you need to watch?
Seats, dashboards, alert channels, integrations, API keys and status-page subscribers are not billed per unit — the plan's numbers cover them.

Questions
What counts as a monitor?
One thing you watch: a URL, an API flow, a cron job, a domain, a TCP port, a browser script. Servers with the agent are counted separately, and the agent's own metrics, logs, traces and errors are not metered per host.
What happens if I go over a number?
Nothing is charged, ever. Vigil keeps monitoring what already exists and tells you in the app; new items above the number wait until you upgrade or remove something. Metered things (error events, spans, browser runs) pause until the counter resets.
Is the free plan really free for business use?
Yes. Free gives you 20 monitors checked every 5 minutes, 1 server, 1 status page and 7 days of history, and you can use it for a company. Every feature works on it; only the numbers are smaller.
Can I use Vigil commercially, and will my price go up?
Commercial use is allowed on every plan, including Free. Your price is locked for as long as your subscription stays active — if our list prices go up, existing subscribers keep theirs.
Do you bill per user?
No. Every paid plan includes unlimited team members with owner, admin, member and viewer roles. Free includes 3.
Can I pay in rupees?
Yes. Buyers in India see prices in ₹ at checkout (Starter ₹1,499, Pro ₹3,999, Business ₹11,999 a month) and can pay by UPI or card. UPI Autopay is capped at ₹15,000 per renewal, so monthly plans and Starter yearly can be paid by UPI; Pro and Business yearly need a card. Paddle issues the tax invoice.
Is yearly billing cheaper?
Yes, two months free: Starter $190/year, Pro $490/year, Business $1490/year. Add-on packs on a yearly plan are billed yearly at the same discount.
How do trials work?
Every new account starts on a 14-day Pro trial with no card: 200 monitors at 1-minute checks and the Pro numbers for everything else. Every paid plan has a 14-day trial with no card. When a trial ends without a subscription, the workspace moves to Free (20 monitors) and everything you set up stays; anything over the Free numbers pauses, nothing is deleted. We email you about two days before the trial ends. Nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
Can I move my existing monitors over?
Yes — the import wizard pulls from UptimeRobot, Better Stack, Uptime Kuma, a URL list or an Atlassian Statuspage (components and email subscribers included).
Where does my data live?
In the EU (Hetzner). You can shorten retention per data class, redact PII before anything is stored, archive to your own S3 bucket, export everything and delete the workspace yourself. See the GDPR & security page.

PuzariCloud — one person, Ritom Puzari, in India, running on servers in the EU. Every release ships after the full end-to-end suite passes.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Card through Paddle, our merchant of record; they add local tax where required and handle invoices. Cancel any time from the billing page — the plan drops back to Free and your data stays. If you are not happy with your first paid month, email us within 14 days of the first charge for a full refund (see the refund policy).
