What this check measures
HTTPS request from our server in Europe. The NPCI website (npci.org.in). NPCI runs UPI but publishes no real-time UPI status feed, so this page CANNOT tell you whether UPI payments are failing right now. NPCI's website being up says nothing about UPI transactions; if UPI fails, check your bank's app and NPCI's X/Twitter account.
A passing check means NPCI (UPI operator)'s website answered our server in Europe with a normal page. It does not prove that logins, payments or the mobile app work, and a site that blocks non-Indian traffic would look down here while working in India.
